  • Lyn Sykes

Lyn Sykes is recognised as Australia’s leading succession planner, having successfully facilitated hundreds of meetings for families in all states. She has also trained many people in the art of facilitating family business meetings, has produced several videos on family communication and is a highly sought after keynote speaker/trainer at conferences and workshops, including leadership programs such as the Australian Rural Woman of the Year.

  • Frank Lanigan

Frank Lanigan is recently retired Senior Partner with Malcomson Law, Solicitors, Carlow and Dublin but continues as a consultant with the firm. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Institute of Legal Accountants of Ireland. He has lectured widely on Legal and Technological topics.

  • Dr Maureen Gaffney

Dr. Maureen Gaffney holds two government positions: Chair of the National Economic and Social Forum which advises Government on economic and social issues; she is also a member of the Board of the Health Service Executive which runs the National Health Service.  She worked for many years in Trinity College Dublin as Director of the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology. She has recently been appointed to Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government Women’s Leadership Board.  She is a well known broadcaster, writer and columnist.

  • Terry Cunningham

Terry Cunningham, moved from the Department of Agriculture and began his career with Teagasc in 1991 as a lecturer in Kildalton Agricultural College, Co. Kilkenny and in 1996 took up the new post of Rural Enterprise Adviser in South Tipperary.  He is currently a regional Rural Tourism/Artisan Food Adviser with Teagasc, based at their offices in Clonmel.  A Masters in Rural Development was completed in NUIG in 1999 and the thesis explored the possible negative effects on the farming and food industry resulting from the exodus of women from the industry.  

  • Mary Sherry

Mary Sherry is a mushroom farmer from Monaghan and is chair of the IFA National Farm Family Committee.  This committee was established to recognise the role of women in farming, to deal with family and women’s' issues and to increase the involvement of farm women in IFA.  

  • Mairéad McGuinness, MEP

Mairéad McGuinness, Fine Gael MEP for Ireland East, serves on the European Parliament’s Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and on the Budgets and Petitions Committees. With her background as an agricultural journalist Mairéad is very active on agriculture and rural development, global development policy, the environment and food safety and security.
